Metals & Alloys Testing

Spectro Research Lab Ventures (P) Ltd. is the ideal choice for customers if they want to get quality laboratory testing of metals and alloys. The ‘Metals & Alloys Testing’ division is equipped with the latest and state-of-the-art analytical instruments, and is manned by experienced, trained, and talented laboratory staff. Both instrumental and wet chemical methods are being used (as per client’s needs) for conducting the analyses. The items that are usually tested in the laboratory range from metals (ferrous, non-ferrous and precious), non-metals to various kinds of alloys, and also new products.

Testing of metals and alloys is very important to ensure that the tested material meet the specifications of its intended use, or detect defects during manufacturing process, and also determine any fault in the design and manufacture of new products.

The various modern and sophisticated analytical instruments, like ICP-OES, AAS, XRF, and Spark OES generate test results that are reliable, precise, and reproducible. They offer a number of advantages to the user, such as high sample throughput, low detection limits, simultaneous multi-element analyses (with XRF, ICP-OES, & Spark-OES), and very low sample consumption.

In order to have reliability in the test results generated by the above instruments, it is critical to have traceable standards against which these instruments will be calibrated. Spectro possesses an adequate number of varied certified reference materials (CRM) which cover a wide range of concentrations for various metals and non-metals.
Some of the instruments available with Spectro are as follows:
